Mark Sproson is a UK-based conductor, composer, arranger, and music technologist, specialising in choral music.
As a choral singer Mark performed for over 20 years at the highest level in concert halls across the country and throughout Europe. He is a veteran of numerous commercial recordings, and has appeared regularly on radio and television. Since stepping onto the podium he has been in great demand as a choral conductor, working with large choral societies, workplace and community choirs and amateur and professional chamber groups. He teaches and mentors in choral conducting, and delivers regular singing workshops and seminars.
Mark’s pop, jazz and classical arrangements have been performed around the world, and are firm favourites with singers and audiences alike. As a composer Mark has written for choirs, orchestras, chamber ensembles and jazz groups.
Mark has worked with music technology throughout his career, composing with electronics and synthesizers in his early music studies, writing software for music production, and working as a recording producer and engineer for choral recordings. He is a trustee of the Association of British Choral Directors, responsible for advising on IT and technology.
